When you take the journey inward, into self, you embark on an ever-deepening and expansive path into the truth of your authentic nature.
Chances are, you are already well on your way. Here at ForestBody, it is my deepest intention to help you move forward along this path to the next degree:
- Healing what is ready to be healed
- Alchemizing whatever is ready to be turned from lead into gold
- Otherwise transforming self into the next version of YOU that is waiting
Grounded
Step one on The Embodied Path has you finding your grounding: within self, as you are connected to this physical world.
This is a felt state that brings you that inner knowing that you are safe and supported, as well as otherwise taken care of as you get ready to show up for whatever life brings.
Through a wide range of grounding practices, you will find your next left of support and connection to this physical world.
Centered
Life is chaos. It is an ever-changing series of events that will forever be bringing you new opportunities to heal, to shift, to transform, and to grow.
We do not find center by controlling our reality and making it seem like everything is perfect.
In truth, we find center within so that, no matter what happens in life, we are skillfully able to navigate it.
Present
Your ability to be present in your body, in this world has everything to do with how much consciousness you can bring to each moment.
On one level, presence has to do with your attention and awareness, skills that are developed through meditation.
On another level, presence has to do with your ability to sense, and to otherwise know what is happening in any one moment. This is skill that is cultivated through embodied awareness: tuning into your internal and external senses.
Presence is an embodied state. Yes, it involves your mind, but more than this, it involves a mind/body relationship that is developed via embodiment practices over time.
Aligned
You, as a human being, are composed of an infinite list of parts. Your mind, made up of neural pathways connected in specific ways to perform specific functions; your nervous system, innervating your body to send and receive information; your organs, each performing their own set of duties to keep you alive and well; your heart, serving as a central electro/physical pump as it simultaneously holds love and compassion....
The point is, our modern world has done a powerful job of separating and isolating parts of self to understand their function.
Now, our work here is to make whole what is already whole, and to do so in a way what you do not feel scattered, pulled in different directions, but instead, aligned with a clear knowing of where you best be going.
