Forest Body Healing (5)

Hello, and Welcome to The Embodied Path!

I offer you a formal invitation to explore this emerging body of work - one that is here to support you as the sovereign being that you are just as we come together as a collective to do the great healing that is needed for the whole of Planet Earth.

The Embodied Path is Earth Embodiment:

Mind, Body, & Earth

Enter your name and email below to subscribe to The Embodied Path, ensuring you receive all posts and practices related to this emerging body of work!

The Embodied Path is a practice-based spiritual system that is here to guide you deeper into your embodiment: that is, your heart-centered and skillful connection with the whole of who you are as an embodied being on this Planet Earth:

  • Connected within, mind & body, spirit & soul: the whole of who you are living authentically and freely in your true nature
  • Connected beyond Self, into relationship with Earth, including nature, environment, and all living beings that share this Planet Earth

The fact of the matter is that you, as a human being, are every bit a part of this Earth as any other living being. And, contrary to many spiritual belief systems, I do not belief that you nor I are here to ascend beyond what is here (because here is lacking something that you don't already have!).

Rather, I believe that you and I (and all of us) are here to experience the fullness of this life: a true gift as we get to experience life as a body connected into this most remarkable planet!

But spirituality isn't often framed like this, is it?

In fact, most belief systems (spiritual or not) have us believing that life is about getting away from these bodies and away from this Earth!

However, in contrast to most of the spiritual systems I have learned in my life, The Embodied Path is not a path of ascension. Also, it is not a path that places you, an individual, at the center of an enlightenment journey for your own self-actualization.

Rather, The Embodied Path is a collective path. It is one that asks you to root just as you rise. To connect outward just as you connect inward.

You can learn more about the foundations of this spiritual practice on the following pages, and further with the blog posts listed below.

Navigating The Embodied Path

Foundational Principles

What they are: The convictions this work rests on — what I believe about healing, the body, and the Earth. They don't change from practice to practice. They're the ground everything else grows out of.

Principles are what I believe. They're the orientation underneath everything I teach — that healing happens through relationship with the body and the Earth, not escape from them, and that awakening is something we live into, not away from.

Skills & States

What they are: The capacities we build and the ways of being we're learning to return to. Each skill is something trainable — a muscle you strengthen with repetition. Each state is the felt experience that comes with it — something you'll recognize in your body once you've touched it.

Skills and states are what we're building. A skill is something you practice and get better at — like returning your attention to your body, or telling your own knowing apart from fear. A state is what that skill makes possible — groundedness, clarity, integrity. You're not just learning ideas here; you're building capacities you can feel.

The Four Internal Skills & States

Grounding
Skill: Returning your attention to your body and the present moment — noticing sensation, breath, and contact with the Earth instead of living in your head.
State: Stability and safety. A felt sense of "I am here as the human being that I am."

Centering
Skill: Locating and returning to an inner point of reference — a stable core you can orient from, even when things outside you are loud or chaotic.
State: Inner stillness. Steadiness that doesn't depend on circumstances.

Alignment
Skill: Bringing all parts of self into connection, lining up so that you are not scattered, but on one coherent page.
State: Coherence. Agreement among parts as you ready yourself to orient to the world outside of self.

Discernment
Skill: Distinguishing signal from noise — your own knowing from fear, conditioning, or borrowed belief.
State: Clarity. The ground from which right action becomes possible.

Practices

What they are: The concrete, doable exercises — what you actually do to build the skills and access the states above. This is the how.

Practices are how we get there. These are the specific, embodied exercises — the things you actually do — that build the skills and cultivate the states described above. Theory becomes real here.

Introducing ForestBody and The Embodied Path

2026 will be devoted to teaching what I call The Embodied Path. It is a compilation of the most important spiritual and embodiment teachings that I believe can best serve us as individuals AND as a collective humanity as we set our sights on healing, and otherwise transforming, this great mess of things we humans have made on Planet Earth:

  • Grounding down into the truth, and the reality of who we are as human beings - living beings - connected to the great web of life here on Earth
  • Centering into the heart of what matters most (which means disconnecting from all the narratives that mine our attention and energy as we are pulled in misaligned directions)
  • Aligning our whole Selves (body and mind, heart and soul, spirit and biology, etc.), as we align to the greater web of life that we are all part of
  • Discerning - learning to make the most skillful decisions possible as we take action, navigating through the wild nature of it all
